American Airlines: Is Government Restricting Lucrative Baggage and Add on Fee?

Did you hear the news coming from potential Government that they might restrict the lucrative baggage and will add-on fee? If not, then you can read ahead to get information on this. Well it is not sure till date because the official announcement will be made after 30^th September, 2018. And the current FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Budget will expire on this date. So, a new funding of bill will pass on and we will soon come to know that this news will be implemented or not.

Certainly, Aircraft Industry is not in favor of this changing policy as they demand to, not implement this as it can affect pricing of their airlines. As far as we know Airlines keeps on changing it pricing according to the time frame but putting these fee and restricting lucrative baggage under regulations is something that can affect the Airfare negatively. Airlines are hoping that it should not be considered under regulations policy. The matter of fact is what affect this news will bring on the airline industry.

Firstly the perk which is under fire is Refundable tickets because adding the fee and restricting lucrative baggage will abolish the perk of refundable tickets.
Because currently most of the airlines offer their passengers refundable tickets. This means in case your plan changes then you can rebook to a different flight, or get refund or credit the amount towards future flight.
And now if the Government will include certain new regulation under Federal Aviation Administration funding bill which the Airline Industry objecting to. For including restrictions to add-on fees for such things as allowing passengers to select and reserve a particular seat, or those fees to check the baggage on the flight. Then the refundable tickets will go away.
